STV’s unique and dedicated online research panel, ScotPulse, captures mood of the nation

ScotPulse, Scotland’s only dedicated online research panel, launched by broadcaster STV, is now over a year old and is firmly established as a unique, robust and valuable research tool delivering fast results from a vast panel, effectively tracking the pulse of Scotland. 
 
ScotPulse allows deeper engagement with consumers and successfully captures the mood of the nation across a wide range of issues on a regular basis, and often with a very quick turnaround. 
 
With a robust pan-Scottish panel of over 10,000, the ScotPulse panel has already this year proved to be a barometer of public opinion for Scottish elections; measured the Scottish public’s feeling on the EUROs; revealed that 76% of Scots were planning nothing for the Queen’s jubilee; and provided useful consumer feedback for numerous companies.
 
ScotPulse has proven to be valuable both for the broadcaster and a wide range of companies, gaining insights into consumer views and opinions across Scotland.

Earlier this year, the country saw a legal first when STV was allowed to film a sentencing in court.  ScotPulse swiftly issued a poll to benchmark public opinion.  7 hours later, STV’s current affairs programme Scotland Tonight was able to use the results from a sample of 1500 for their live show.  The full results (sample 2500) were published at 9am the next morning on stv.tv, The survey highlighted findings such as ‘two out of three people agree cameras should be allowed in court’.
 
Using market-leading feedback platform, Confirmit Horizons, the team has worked with a range of Scottish businesses on their research requirements, including Lidl, ScottishPower, Weatherseal, CR Smith, Bank of Scotland and Strathclyde Fire and Rescue.
