Viewers will 'Bring in the New Year!' with some of STV’s best loved faces, including John MacKay and Sean Batty, this Hogmanay.
 
The 25 minute programme, hosted by David Hayman, will air on STV from 11.40pm on Monday, 31st December 2012.
 
'Bring in the New Year!' features reflections on the past year’s events from STV presenters’ John MacKay, Rona Dougall, Sean Batty and Raman Bhardwaj.
 
STV’s Hogmanay line up also includes programmes featuring highlights from the STV Appeal 2012. STV Appeal 2012: Your Money, Well Spent, presented by Lorraine Kelly, at 5.05pm reveals who is benefiting from the £2m raised this year.
 
Fred MacAulay's West Highland Wahey! at 11.10pm takes viewers up to 'Bring in the New Year!' with highlights from Fred’s stand up gigs as he took on the challenge of walking the 96 miles along the West Highland Way to raise money for the STV Appeal 2012.
 
Elizabeth Partyka, deputy director of channels at STV, said: “The STV Appeal has been a great success in the past year and we look forward to sharing with viewers how their generous support is helping children and young people in Scotland affected by poverty. There is something for everyone in this year’s star studded Hogmanay line up, including seasonal messages from some of our much loved faces, so we look forward to bringing in the bells with viewers across Scotland.”
 
In 2012, STV proved to as popular as ever with seven out of the top 10 entertainment shows and the best watched TV programme across the year so far, Britain’s Got Talent.
 
Elizabeth Partyka, said: “Over the course of a month, 94% of Scots watch STV which goes to show that we are delivering programmes that are relevant and engaging for our audiences. We aim to provide viewers with a great mix of entertainment, news and current affairs, and drama and this will continue with our 2013 schedule, combining the very best network content with the very best of Scottish programming.” 
 
The STV schedule 2013 includes a new series of Scottish Passport on screen in January, an historical look at the independence question in Scotland, Road to the Referendum, plus the return of return of Animal 999 and popular film review series, Moviejuice, presented by Grant Lauchlan.
