STV to air Scotland v England friendly match live from Wembley

STV will air dedicated coverage of the Scotland v England friendly match on Wednesday 14 August, presented by Raman Bhardwaj live from Wembley Stadium. The programme will be on air from 7.30pm with kick-off at 8pm.
 
Special guests Paul Lambert and Terry Butcher will join Raman for a preview ahead of the game, as well as half time and post game analysis.
 
The game will have commentary from Derek Rae and Alan Brazil and STV’s Keith Downie will report from the trackside.
 
STV sports presenter, Raman Bhardwaj said: ''Scotland against England is one of the oldest rivalries in international football and I'm delighted the match will be live on STV. We'll bring viewers every piece of the action along with all the analysis before, during and after the friendly - although I’m not sure there is ever such a thing when Scotland and England face each other on the pitch!"
 
Elizabeth Partyka, deputy director of channels at STV, said: “It's great that we can bring STV viewers dedicated coverage of the Scotland v England match in August. Our team will capture all the action from the pitch along with expert analysis from our studio guests, and as always when the two sides meet, football fans across Scotland will be on the edge of their seats.”

Paul Lambert
Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert won 40 caps for Scotland, as well as the Scottish Cup with St. Mirren in 1987 and the Champions League with Borussia Dortmund in 1997. In addition, he won four league titles, two Scottish Cups and two League Cups in seven years with Celtic before leaving the club in 2005. Lambert's managerial career started with Livingston in 2005 and he managed Wycombe Wanderers, Colchester United and Norwich City before joining Aston Villa in 2012.
 
Terry Butcher
Inverness CT manager Terry Butcher won 77 international caps for England and captained his country. While playing for Ipswich Town he won the UEFA Cup in 1981, and he led Rangers to four titles and two league cups between 1986 and 1990 as team captain. Butcher has managed Coventry, Sunderland, Motherwell, Sydney and Brentford, as well as being appointed Scotland assistant manager in 2008. Since 2009 he heHe has been manager for Inverness CT since 2009. 
 
Derek Rae
Derek Rae began his career as a commentator at the age of 15 and has worked for the BBC and FIFA before moving to ESPN. Rae has commentated on the game at the highest level over the past few decades, covering World Cups, European Championships, the UEFA Champions League and Europa League.
 
Alan Brazil 
Former Scotland player Brazil enjoyed a 13-year playing career and is a UEFA Cup winner, lifting the trophy with Ipswich Town in 1981. The forward played for seven English clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United and also played in the USA, Australia and Switzerland. Since 2001, Brazil has been a recognisable radio voice as a presenter with talkSPORT where he hosts the station’s flagship breakfast show. He is a lifelong Celtic fan.
