STV launches festive on air campaign

STV and STV Glasgow viewers will see a festive makeover from today (Monday 8th December) with new seasonal branding and channel idents featuring user generated content.
 
The Christmas campaign for 2014 was created in conjunction with DixonBaxi and includes festive clips and photos submitted by viewers.
 
STV and STV Glasgow viewers were invited to submit their seasonal shots showing family traditions, festive landscapes or time spent with family via social media.
 
The campaign will appear on STV from 8th December until 4th January, and STV Glasgow from 20th December until 4th January.  
 
Bobby Hain, STV’s director of channels, said: “We worked with DixonBaxi earlier this year to define and refresh our channel branding, and to create a more recognisable brand family. This Christmas project is an extension of that work and we particularly like the user generated content aspect as it reflects the personality of STV, which was our aim with the brand refresh in June.”
 
STV Glasgow was the first city TV channel to launch in Scotland and the launch of STV Edinburgh will follow in January 2015.
