Warning to shareholders

STV has become aware that a small number of shareholders have received unsolicited telephone calls regarding their STV shareholding. We believe these calls are being made for fraudulent purposes.

Share fraud includes scams where investors are contacted on an unsolicited basis and offered an inflated price for shares they own. These calls come from individuals that are predominantly based outside the United Kingdom, who are seeking personal information, such as bank details, about the shareholders they contact.

You should not disclose any personal details if you are contacted in this way and you are advised to only deal with firms authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (‘FCA’).

If you think you have received an unofficial and unsolicited approach, you are advised to report it to the FCA either online at www.fca.org.uk/scams or by telephone to 0800 111 6768.
