    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced iOS mobile developer to join our highly successful product development team to help lead the design, development and maintenance of our native iOS apps.

  • Graphics/Camera Operator (Glasgow)

    We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Graphics/Camera Operator to join our City TV team based in Glasgow on a 12 month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will primarily produce motion graphics across a range of STV programmes such as Live at Five, The People’s History Show, Peter & Roughie’s Football Show, The Late Show, The Edinburgh Festival coverage and other feature programmes, and operate the studio camera.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high level of engineering and operational support across our broadcast systems and digital platforms and to provide technical advice and expertise to the wider business.

  • Assistant Producers (Glasgow)

    STV news is enhancing its range of services and the Assistant Producer role is at the heart of everything we do. The role is based in the Glasgow newsroom and comprises of a variety of elements from crafting pieces with individual reporters to outputting programmes. In addition there is also the opportunity to work on our new integrated News programme STV News Tonight and our flagship current affairs programme Scotland Tonight.

    A vacancy has arisen for a News Organiser, who will help STV News bring the best news coverage to Scotland, both in broadcast and online. The post is based in Glasgow, but you will be working closely with news teams across the country to drive our news content on both TV and digital platforms. We’re looking for a journalist who can multitask, is calm under pressure, who can spot and react to a story on the day, has strong editorial judgement but can also take a lead in pushing the story forward.

  • Digital News Editor (Glasgow)

    This is more than just a newsdesk job. We want someone with a strong news sense, bags of enthusiasm and passion for leading a team of digital reporters, incorporating news, sport, features and video. You’ll commission breaking news stories before the rest of the media catches up. You’ll take responsibility for push notifications to thousands of mobile customers on the biggest stories. In addition you'll be able to spot a story and instinctively know the most interesting, compelling angle. You’ll know social media platforms and understand the role they play. We aren’t all about clickbait. It’s a role for someone with new ideas, good communication skills and the ability to shape an enthusiastic team. We have completely reworked the way STV gathers and produces news. This role is based in our Glasgow news hub and you’ll work to bring together Scotland’s best news and current affairs programmes and leading online service. Working as part of the cross platform news gathering team, we want to tell broadcast stories in a uniquely digital way.
