As we embark upon the next phase of our strategic growth plan, we are making changes to our legal team to ensure this is positioned to support our ambitious plans and the changing needs of the business.
The legal team delivers legal services across all areas of the business; generating and negotiating the contracts and legal documentation which underpin our commercial and regulated activities, whilst providing operational support and commercial legal advice.
Reporting to the Head of Legal, STV Group, this is a varied role which calls for:
  • Extensive experience and ability to draft and negotiate commercial contracts, of all sizes and complexity.
  • Experience of regulation, regulated businesses, and working with regulators.
  • Specific knowledge and expertise in IP, technology contracts and data protection law.
  • Ability to assist in any other aspects of the work of the Company as reasonably required.
  • 2-5 years PQE.
  • Genuine interest in media, its delivery and the law and regulation around it.
  • Enthusiasm to support, and contribute to, a fast moving business through changing times.
  • Readiness, and resilience, to think, learn, adapt and influence.
  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation and forward planning skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all aspects of work output.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with ability to collaborate and build relationships whether internally or externally.
