Gender Pay Report

STV Group plc is committed to ensuring that STV provides everyone with the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential.

The Company’s second Gender Pay Report records data of 612 colleagues in employment in April 2018.  The gender profile at that date was 52% men and 48% women and against the Government’s key measures the profile was:
  • a mean gender pay gap of 20.5% for fixed hourly pay, an improvement of 10% year on year;
  • a median gender pay gap of 18.5% for fixed hourly pay, up 7% year on year;
  • a mean gender pay gap for bonus pay of 40%, an improvement of 28% year on year;
  • a median gender pay gap for bonus pay of 33%, an improvement of 3% year on year. Over the reporting period, 11% of male colleagues received a bonus  payment and 7% of female colleagues received a bonus.
Across STV, we are open and transparent about the challenges faced in eliminating the gender pay gap and recognise this requires meaningful and sustained change.  Key to achieving this will be increasing the proportion of women in senior roles which will be progressed through our commitment to achieve gender balance in the top 25% of roles by earnings by 2023.
