Holiday show favourite Scottish Passport returns to STV

STV brings a bit of sunshine to January’s cold, dark days with a brand new six part series of much loved holiday programme, Scottish Passport 2013, starting Monday 7th January at 8pm.
The series will see a host of familiar Scottish faces travel to a range of holiday destinations across the world.  With a range of holidays covered, there’s something for everyone in this wide-reaching travel show.
Scotsman abroad, Paul English also travels across Europe to bring us top travel tips and a weekly update on a range of destinations from Prague to Paris and Switzerland to Salou.
Week by week on Scottish Passport 2013:
Episode 1 (Family holidays)
Sarah Heaney and her family travel to Malta to enjoy the activities and beaches of the Mediterranean.  Paul English checks out Salou on the Costa Dorada as a family destination and we see two families with their teenage kids enjoy an activity break in Perthshire.

Episode 2 (Mates holidays)
Taggart star Alex Norton takes his son Jock to Nashville, Tennessee to buy a guitar and sample the local music and nightlife. Paul English finds out what Prague has to offer for friends on holiday and for those visiting on a stag or hen weekend. We also see two friends take a Mancunian trip to the set of Coronation Street and taxi tour around the streets of Manchester.
Episode 3 (Get away holidays)
Still Game actor Mark Cox and his family enjoy a family break in El Gouna, Hurghada in Egypt. Paul English finds out that it is possible to get away from it all in the Spanish holiday resort, Menorca, and two couples have an activity weekend in Stirling.
Episode 4 (Historical holidays)
Taggart star Blythe Duff and her husband Tom take a road trip through historic Washington DC and the surrounding American civil war country. Paul English delves into Gran Canaria and finds it has a lot to offer. A couple of Emmerdale fans head to the Yorkshire Dales, go horse riding, and visit the famous Woolpack pub.
Episode 5 (Outdoor holidays)
Presenter Cat Cubie and her boyfriend Oli Norman enjoy an outdoors holiday in Calgary, Canada, where they go hiking in Banff National Park and visit a horse ranch. Paul English jets off to Switzerland’s adventure capital Flims for some mountain biking and alpine retreat. Closer to home, a couple take their three granddaughters to Shetland for a nature and photography holiday and stay in an historic lighthouse.  
Episode 6 (Valentine’s special)
In this Valentine’s special, newly weds Julie Hannah and her husband Andy McAllister jet off to Barbados on honeymoon to enjoy romance under the Caribbean sun, whilst Paul English has a romantic weekend in Europe’s city of love, Paris. We also see a couple on their 40th wedding anniversary escape in Oxfordshire, home of Midsomer Murders, enjoy a romantic barge trip.
