Scotland Remembers on STV’s city channels

STV’s city channels will air their first live Remembrance Sunday programme, Scotland Remembers, on Sunday 13th at 1030 to commemorate the fallen war heroes.
The programme on STV Glasgow and STV Edinburgh, and streamed on the STV Player, will be live from remembrance services across the country.
Presenter Angus Simpson will be live in Glasgow’s George Square and will be joined by guests including foreign affairs editor at The Herald, David Pratt, and Suzanne Nichol from Poppy Scotland.
In Edinburgh, Mike Edwards, STV’s senior news correspondent and major in the Territorial Army will be live outside St Giles Cathedral with guests First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon MSP, the Lord Provost of Edinburgh, The Rt. Hon. Donald Wilson, and CEO of Legion Scotland Kevin Day.
Scotland Remembers  will also cross over to Live at Five presenter, David Farrell, who will be live outside Aberdeen’s Marischal College and joined by the Lord Provost of Aberdeen, Councillor George Adam, plus other special guests and comments from the public.
The city channels will focus on tales from the front line of the men and women directly affected by the wars, with unique drone footage from Northlight Heritage and the University of Glasgow capturing the reconstruction of a WW1 trench in Pollok Park.
Elizabeth Partyka, deputy director of channels at STV, said: “We hope our audiences tune in on this important day to remember and honour our servicemen and women. Scotland Remembers is the first live Remembrance Sunday programme for STV Glasgow and STV Edinburgh channels and will bring viewers commemoration services from Scotland’s largest cities.”
Scotland Remembers will air at 1030 on STV Edinburgh and STV Glasgow on Sunday 13th November, and available to watch live on the STV Player.
