Alistair Brown to leave STV
Tagged in: Press ReleasesAs a result of the introduction of a new divisional structure, confirmed as part of the Company’s strategic review announced today, the technology function will be embedded into divisional operating businesses.
Alistair joined the Company in 2008 to lead an emerging digital strategy. This included the launch of the successful STV Player. Later in 2011, Alistair was also assigned responsibility for the Company’s broadcast technology and IT functions in an enhanced role of Chief Technology & Platforms Officer.
Latterly, Alistair has led the delivery of a new broadcast playout infrastructure and the deployment of state of the art media management infrastructure to service digital and broadcast platforms, providing the business with future proofed technology platforms.
Simon Pitts, Chief Executive Officer, said: “Alistair has done a terrific job at STV and leaves a positive legacy of progress across digital and technology delivered throughout his successful tenure. He leaves the Company with our thanks and best wishes for continued success in the future.”
