Software Developer, Connected TV

Location: Flexible -regular travel to Glasgow office required

You will be working within a cross-functional team within STV Digital, delivering the STV Player across our range of supported Connected TV platforms.

As a Software Engineer focussed on Connected TV devices you will be using technologies such as HTML5, Javascript and React but will not be building websites - instead you will be building TV applications.

You will be responsible for crafting performant, accessible user interfaces on memory and CPU constrained devices to ensure that our users can enjoy the growing library of content that STV offers, on the platform of their choice.

Day to day, you will collaborate with engineers from other internal teams, help define and refine ideas and requirements with our Product and UX teams, and work with key 3rd party suppliers and partners to ensure that requirements are met and delivered.
At least 3 years of professional experience
  • Experience building single page applications in React
  • Have a consumer focused approach
  • Experience of using Test Driven Development and Behaviour Driven Development
