The STV Player is now available on Amazon Fire TV.
The STV Player, one of the launch partners for Amazon Fire TV, provides catch up for both STV and STV Glasgow to consumers in Scotland. STV Player is now available across the range of Amazon devices, including Fire tablets and Amazon Fire phones.
Amazon Fire TV is a tiny box that plugs into your HDTV to offer a world of entertainment services, enabling consumers to access a wide selection of digital content on demand.
STV favourites such as Coronation Street and The X Factor are available to view free of charge on the STV Player for 30 days, while STV News at Six and Scotland Tonight bring viewers the latest news and current affairs discussions. Selected programmes, including STV News and Taggart, are available to viewers outside STV’s licence areas.
Alistair Brown, Chief Technology and Platforms Officer at STV, said: “We are thrilled to be a launch partner for Amazon Fire TV.  This latest launch enhances our multi-platform presence and gives our consumers greater access to our content, meaning viewers in Scotland can continue to watch their favourite STV and STV Glasgow programmes free of charge, anytime and anywhere they choose to.”
STV Player is currently available on YouView, iOS, Android, Windows 8 tablet and Windows phones, Fire HD and Fire HDX tablets, Amazon Fire phones and Samsung Smart TVs, allowing viewers to catch up with STV programmes on the platform of their choice.
