STV News appoints new Editor at Holyrood

STV has today announced that award-winning radio journalist Colin Mackay is to join the STV News team as Holyrood Editor, based at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh. 
A well known voice on independent radio across Scotland, Colin joins STV from Bauer Radio where he has worked as Scottish Political Editor for 16 years, from the very start of the Scottish Parliament. 
On announcing the appointment, STV Head of News, Gordon Macmillan said: “I’m delighted to welcome  Colin to the STV News team. Colin will work alongside our Political Editor Bernard Ponsonby to enhance our political coverage from Holyrood and to deliver a rich variety of content across our broadcast and digital platforms. ”
Colin Mackay said: “I’ve had a great time at Bauer but I’m looking forward to this new challenge. I’m lucky enough to have worked with STV News before and love being involved in Scotland Tonight – so I already know and respect many of my new colleagues and am delighted to be joining the team.”
