And they're off ... STV2 to bring viewers live racing from Hamilton and Ayr

STV2 will broadcast live Scottish racing events for the first time from Hamilton Park and Ayr Racecourses this August.
Racing on STV2 will be live from 1800 on Saturday 5th August at Hamilton Park Racecourse ladies night and 1800 on Saturday 12th August at Ayr Racecourse QTS ladies night.
The two-hour programmes will be presented from the studio by Peter Martin where he will be joined by one of Scotland’s best known racing pundits, Stuart Lovell, and racing correspondent for the Daily Record and Sunday Mail, Craig Swan. Trackside at Ayr and Hamilton will be sports presenter Jim Delahunt with STV2 presenter Zara Janjua bringing viewers all the colour and spectacle of ladies day.
Paul Hughes, head of programmes, STV, said: “I’m thrilled we have Scottish racing on STV2. Both these events are ladies days, so big events in the Scottish racing and social calendar. Local sport is a key feature of STV2’s schedule as we aim to reflect what is happening across Scotland.”
STV2 is available on Freeview channel 8, Sky channel 117 and Virgin channel 159. The channel is streamed online and available for catch-up via the STV Player.
