Hit BBC Two factual entertainment show Celebrity Antiques Road Trip returns on Sunday for its eleventh series, and the line-up of stars heading out on the road includes husband-and-wife Strictly Come Dancing professionals Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec.

The couple, who used to compete against each other every Saturday night on Strictly before leaving the show in recent years, will be going head-to-head once again to see who can uncover the most interesting antiques and make the most money at auction.

Joining Janette and Aljaž on the eclectic line-up of celebs are former TOWIE stars turned singers James ‘Arg’ Argent and Megan McKenna, House of Games host Richard Osman and his actor partner Ingrid Oliver, Chasers Anne Hegerty and Shaun Wallace, and an unlikely pairing of 1970s pop stars – Nolan Sister Linda Nolan and Status Quo frontman Francis Rossi.

"We’re 11 series in and another brilliant celebrity line-up is set to take part in the UK’s most competitive antiques format. It’s always a rewarding experience introducing celebs to the world of collectables and sharing the environmental benefits of antiques. This series is full of fantastic TV moments and amazing finds, and we can’t wait for viewers to see it."

Craig Hunter Creative Director of Factual, STV Studios

Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, which is produced by STV Studios and has been a staple of BBC Two’s autumn schedule since 2011, sees pairs of famous faces travelling across the UK alongside some of the country’s finest antiques experts to hunt for hidden treasures and compete to see who can auction them off for the most money.

Other pairings on this year’s series include Blue singers Duncan James and Antony Costa, Loose Women pals Charlene White and Kelle Bryan, and comedians Jo Brand and Kerry Godliman. The first show in the 20-episode run, which launches on Sunday 23 October, features actors Les Dennis and Nitin Ganatra.

The experts accompanying the celebrities on their Road Trip adventures this year are Serhat Ahmet, Angus Ashworth, Izzie Balmer, Raj Bisram, James Braxton, Margie Cooper, Charles Hanson, David Harper, Roo Irvine, Irita Marriott, Tim Medhurst, Steven Moore, Ochuko Ojiri, Natasha Raskin Sharp, Philip Serrell and Catherine Southon.

Janette Manrara said: "We had so much fun searching for treasures on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip! We love antiques shopping and it's always exciting trying to find some rare items, especially ones that will look fabulous in our home.”

Aljaž Škorjanec added: “There was a healthy bit of competition going on – but don’t worry, we’re still talking to each other!"

James ‘Arg’ Argent said: “Driving round the countryside in a classic car and hunting for antiques with Megan McKenna was not on my 2022 bucket list, but here we are! I had the best time out on the road with the lovely Megan and, who knows, maybe antique-dealing could end up being a future career for me…”

Megan McKenna added: “I loved going on the road with Arg! It was fun doing something different and having a look around the antique shops – shopping’s one of my fave things to do!”

Muslim Alim, BBC Commissioning Editor, said: “We're so happy to have Celebrity Antiques Road Trip back on our screens and with such an amazing range of famous faces. There’s something for everyone, with lots of laughter, entertainment and some friendly rivalry along the way.”

Celebrity Antiques Road Trip series 11 begins on Sunday 23 October at 6:50pm on BBC Two and iPlayer.
